What to Expect From The 2025 Tweed Winter Wedding Open Day!

It’s almost that time of year again! Mark your calendar, rally your bridal crew, and start planning your perfect day out — the Tweed Winter Wedding Open Day returns on Sunday, 13th July 2025.

This much-loved annual event is the ultimate way to experience the very best of the Tweed Coast wedding scene. From stunning venues and inspiring setups to exclusive offers and unforgettable vibes, the Winter Open Day is your one-stop shop for all things wedding planning!

Designed as a free, self-guided, interactive event, the Tweed Winter Wedding Open Day invites couples (and their families and friends!) to explore multiple venues at their own pace, meet talented local suppliers, and soak up an incredible amount of wedding inspiration in one beautiful day.

With 9 venues and over 60 of the region’s best wedding suppliers involved — from stylists, florists and celebrants to photographers, mobile cocktail vans, live musicians and more — it’s the perfect way to see your dream day come to life.

Each participating venue will be open and styled to showcase how your wedding could look, with live entertainment, pop-up bars, free tastings, exclusive open day offers, and plenty of Insta-worthy moments throughout the day.

Whether you’re newly engaged or just ticking off the last few things on your list, this event is for you. Some venues will also have exclusive booking incentives, so make sure to ask what’s on offer at each stop!

The Tweed Winter Wedding Open Day is completely free and open to everyone. Simply choose the venues you’d like to see and visit them in your own time between their opening hours. All venues are opening at different times—be sure to check our website for individual opening hours to help plan your day.

ANCORA

If you love light-filled spaces and coastal Mediterranean vibes, Ancora in Tweed Heads is a must-visit on your Winter Open Day itinerary. Overlooking the stunning Terranora Inlet, this dreamy waterfront venue will be open from 10am – 2pm, showcasing a beautifully styled setup and a curated line-up of talented local suppliers.

BABALOU

Make your way to the vibrant coastal town of Kingscliff and soak up the sweeping ocean views at Babalou. This beachfront venue will be open from 10am – 2pm, styled to perfection and buzzing with live music and a handpicked selection of the region’s best wedding suppliers.

There’ll be plenty of fun happening on the day, including gift bags for the first 30 couples through the door, exclusive booking specials, and live entertainment by Janda and DJ Corey. You can also enjoy cake tastings from Buttery Cakes, complimentary mimosas from the pop-up bar cart, and Babalou’s iconic antipasto cones as you explore the venue.

ELYSIAN HILLS

Set high in the hills near Mt Carool, Summergrove Retreat is a 77-acre oasis with panoramic ocean and hinterland views — a must-visit on the Winter Open Day trail. Open from 11am – 4pm, explore the pavilion, styled spaces, and meet top Tweed wedding suppliers in this dreamy rainforest-meets-coastal setting.

Wander through golden sunflower fields, soak up panoramic valley views, and explore a beautifully styled reception space while mingling with some of the Tweed’s top wedding suppliers. Open Day attendees can also enjoy up to $1500 off their food and beverage package (T&Cs apply), or book in for lunch from 12pm to experience the Farm & Co. dining magic firsthand.

Perched along the scenic Cabarita coastline, Greenview is one of the newest and most versatile additions to the Tweed wedding scene. With views of the iconic Norries Headland just moments away, this stunning venue offers a blank canvas for couples to bring their dream wedding to life—whether you’re planning a relaxed beachside celebration or a chic, elegant affair.

While Greenview won’t have suppliers on-site for the Open Day, a member of the team will be available to take you on a guided tour of the venue and answer any questions. If you’re on the hunt for a flexible space to create a celebration that’s uniquely yours, this is a must-see location on your itinerary.
