We’ve been chatting to the venues participating in the 2021 Tweed Wedding Trail and suffice to say they are out to impress! With most Tweed Trail venues having to cancel open days throughout this year, they are itching to welcome you all back and provide you with even more inspiration, information and incredible offers. From styled shoots to cake tastings, live music to exclusive promotions, even a river cruise and a fashion parade, this Tweed Wedding Trail is jam packed with things for visitors to look forward to on the day.

Keep reading for a taste of what’s to come from each of the Tweed Trail venues, plus read all about two brand spanking new venues who will be open for the Trail for the very first time.

The Coastal Venues


For luxe Mediterranean vibes, seriously delicious food and a dreamy waterfront location, look no further than Ancora. Perfectly positioned on the Tweed River, this modern coastal space features crisp white interiors, high arched ceilings and open glass windows overlooking the water. For a unique addition to your wedding experience, chat to the team from Tweed Eco Cruises who will be running three half hour river cruises from 10.30am showing some of the secret ceremony locations and secluded photo spots (register to receive the official booklet for dock location and departure times). Live music, good vibes and wedding inspo will be flowing, so be sure to check out Ancora’s spacious interiors, riverfront deck and adjoining garden as you chat with a bunch of uber-talented suppliers.



If your dream wedding includes direct ocean views, stylish decor and an absolute beachfront location, you’ll want to add Babalou to your venue hit-list! Situated along Kingscliff’s bustling Marine Parade, Babalou is the ultimate all-in-one location for coastal loving couples. On the day, you’ll be able to enjoy their signature suspended grazing tables with complimentary bubbles while touring around Babalou’s modern, light-filled interiors (complete with hardwood flooring, exposed rafters and festoon lights) with the ocean literally at your doorstep . Enjoy live entertainment and spend time talking to some of the finest wedding industry folk. Awesome discounts for on the day bookings and some prizes to be won as well.



If you’re looking for a garden wedding venue in an idyllic beachside location, Osteria offers the best of both worlds. This hidden gem is tucked away in the quiet seaside town of Casuarina, just a few hundred metres from the coastline. On the day, you’ll be able to tour Osteria’s lush private garden and fairy-lit Refinery hall, along with the bridal suite Parlour and outdoor Whiskey Bar. Oscar and Ivy Bridal will be showcasing their newest collection for the very first time, with a fashion parade (and complimentary glass of bubbles) at 12pm, plus be the first to try on their newest gowns. Fittings are by appointment only, and bookings are required for a seated spot at the collection launch.


The Hinterland Venues


Hunting for the ultimate “blank canvas” location? Be sure to add Ardeena to your must-visit venue list. Located high in the hills of Carool, this picturesque hinterland venue (set amongst 77 acres of untouched rainforest) offers breathtaking views of the Tweed Coast and valley. During your visit, you’ll be able to explore Ardeena’s stunning open lawns and secluded gardens (perfect for a tent or tipi celebration!), along with the undercover wedding pavilion and on-site bridal suite. With an incredible crew of suppliers on board, this is the perfect opportunity to see how this blank canvas space can be completely transformed for a dreamy DIY wedding.



A new member of the TC Weddings crew , Bellingdale Farm is a secluded property situated on 130 acres with spectacular views out to Mt Warning. A working farm featuring a beautifully restored 100 year old dairy homestead, this hinterland wedding venue is an absolute must see to truly appreciate the lush surrounds and rolling hills. Be one of the first to lay your eyes on this stunning venue, and take advantage of some great offers on the day.



Opening their doors for the Trail for the very first time, Bramblewood is set on 300 acres of beautiful private land. It’s a BYO venue perfect for marquee or tipi style weddings, with stunning ocean views all the way out to Coolangatta. So if those “under the stars” feels are your vibe, then Bramblewood is exactly what you’ve been looking for. The stunning surrounds so perfectly capture the magic of the Tweed Hinterland and provide the most incredible backdrop for your golden hour photos. Also offering  a brand new covered space on the property, Bramblewood has flexible options for your dream wedding set up.



Looking for one of the best views on the Tweed Coast? Be sure to make your way over to Fins at Plantation House to see what all the fuss is about. Located on a 65-hectare exotic fruit plantation, this iconic garden wedding venue boasts spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean right out to Mt Warning. Grab a glass of bubbles and soak up the scenery as you check out Fin’s beautifully manicured lawns, luxe undercover reception space and quirky cactus garden, with a bunch of talented suppliers in action at the Tweed Trail.



Enjoy a scenic drive out to the Magical Mount Warning and visit the incredibly picturesque Mavis’s Kitchen. This classic Queenslander-style restaurant and open style barn is the perfect backdrop for a romantic, country-style wedding, surrounded by 25 acres of rain forest and manicured gardens. Breathe in the fresh country air and experience the magic of Uki as you explore Mavis’s open-air barn, stunning outdoor ceremony locations and organic veggie gardens – or, sample some fresh produce for yourself with lunch at the restaurant during your visit.



The newest Tweed Coast Weddings venue, Midginbil Eco Resort is a magical property set on a 400 acre farm among lush rainforest & a winding creek in the Tweed Valley. This DIY and BYO venue is designed for couples wanting a weekend wedding getaway for all their guests, offering accommodation and meals. With your ceremony atop a hill overlooking beautiful Mt Warning and a country barn for your reception this all in one venue is the perfect venue for a 3 day wedding party surrounded by all your loved ones. Midginbil Eco Resort is not open to the public for the Trail but you can book a private tour by appointment only.


Just a short drive from sister venue Ardeena, you’ll find the equally spectacular Summergrove Estate. Set amongst 73 acres of pristine hinterland, Summergrove boasts panoramic views and lush natural backdrops, with an array of indoor and outdoor spaces to explore. The entire venue will be open for your perusal, so take your time touring Summergrove’s perfectly manicured gardens, sweet white ceremony chapel, romantic light-filled barn and boutique on-site restaurant as you soak up the views from every angle.
