In a nutshell we’re: Coffee-Lovers, Travel-Takers, Comedy-Watchers, Tequila-Drinkers and of course… Film-Makers.

Shaun is our creative genius, he has a gift for spotting the in-between moments; the easy-to-miss knowing smile of a Grandparent reminiscing on a life well-lived, the tears building in your usually stoic dad’s eyes, the affectionate knee-squeezes and secret giggles of an inside-joke. He’s also always ready for an adventure (and for a party) whether it be jumping into the surf or out of a plane with you. From the fleeting instants in time to the larger-than-life moments, all of them make your story uniquely yours and Shaun won’t miss a second of it with his camera in one hand and a margarita in the other.

TJ (Shaun’s better half, haha) used to be behind the cameras too but now she wears many different hats. Studio Manager, Director of Operations, Organiser… Basically the behind-the-scenes Boss-Lady who steers the whole ship with heart and precision. She shapes your emotional journey from booking to delivery, keeps the magic flowing smoothly throughout, keeps the excitement high and gets to pour her creativity energy into helping Shaun turn your raw footage into the perfect depiction of you both and of all the people you love. And let it be known that she cries watching your speeches… Every. Damn. Time.

OUR STYLE

Honest, observational, emotional and… Fun.

We let your day unfold naturally with no awkward ‘directing’ and no forced smiles. Your wedding could be outrageously fun full of wild dancing and loud laughter or it could be sweetly sentimental with lots of gentle touches and loving looks. Whatever it is, we’ll work our magic to weave together a film that will take you right back to that moment, exactly as it unfolded, for years to come.

We shoot a maximum of 30 weddings a year… No more than that. When you choose us, you get us — Shaun and TJ, 100% of the time. Not an unknown team of stand-ins or overseas faceless edits. You get two people who genuinely love what they do and care about the people we meet along the way so we limit our intake of weddings every year to make sure we can give every one of our couples the time, energy, creativity, and passion they deserve.

Before you ask… We don’t offer Photography.

We’re total film nerds who are head-over-heels for motion, sound, and story. Photography is straight-up magic — those breathtaking frozen moments are incredible – but to us film-making is our passion, capturing the in-between moments and the lead up to those singular frames. Many companies offer video as an ‘add-on’ but after 15 years of film-making, we remain determined to stick to our craft — pouring every bit of love into what we’re best at. We genuinely believe that having TWO unique creative perspectives of your day, captured by TWO INDEPENDENT artists is better than one plus we love working alongside all the brilliant TCW Photographers.
