“Magic” is the kind of word that springs to mind when you come across a wedding like Kristie and Clint’s. Set amongst the lush hinterland surrounds of Ardeena, this luxe bohemian love-fest was packed with creativity, spirituality and fun, pulled together by an incredible crew of TCW suppliers.

Kristie and Clint recruited wedding planner extraordinaire Ngaire from Event Stylist & Co to design and execute the party of a lifetime, complete with luxe crystals, jewel-toned blooms and relaxed boho styling. Guests sipped on custom coconuts, chilled out amongst naked tipis, shared a delicious feast under the stars and enjoyed an epic fireworks display to end the night. Sounds like bliss to us!

We could rave about all of the beautiful details packed into this wedding forever, but we’ll let Ngaire (and these dreamy pictures by Ivy Road Photography) do the talking. Keep scrolling for a behind-the-scenes look into this magical hinterland wedding and see exactly how this unique concept was brought to life.

From Ngaire: Kristie and Clint are an extremely busy couple, juggling a business, international travel and a young family – so the very first task for them was to find a professional wedding planner to help bring their Love Fest wedding into reality. Kristie and Clint are soulpreneurs with a deep passion and purpose in both their business and personal lives, and wanted to bring that energy and meaning into every aspect of their wedding celebration. Their wedding was not only to be a celebration of their own love, but the love they hold for their whole community of family and friends.

Being such busy people, Kristie and Clint knew it was imperative to research and source exceptional vendors who could deliver their dream wedding with little effort from themselves. They took their time and found reputable suppliers with a resume of quality, real life weddings and referrals. From there, they set to work alongside their wedding creatives to design a wedding celebration like no other – they wanted their guests to walk into a magical experience, layered with extravagance, comfort, love and meaning.

The style of the wedding aligned with Kristie and Clint’s personalities and spirituality and is best described as Luxe Boho. The set up featured well-designed spaces to deliver both a luxurious and relaxed feel, with the ceremony space adorned with crystals, and the reception area offering chill out zones to take in the stylish surrounds.

The wedding day was incredible to say the least. All aspects of the day came together beautifully thanks to the tireless effort from all of the suppliers on the day. As guests arrived at the ceremony, they were given crystals to bless with love and intention, and as they waited for the beautiful bride to arrive, guests were taken through a vibrant sound healing to ground into the venue, the couple and the celebration. Guests were offered personalised whole coconuts to refresh after the blissful warm afternoon sun of the ceremony, and began to relax into the afternoon’s festivities with fabulous food and drinks. As the celebrations continued into the night, there were wonderfully fun elements including a non-traditional first dance, fire twirlers for evening entertainment and fireworks to send the happy couple off.

Kristie walked down the aisle to the sweet tunes of Chris Hutchinson, singing “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran, and during the signing, Clint surprised his new wife with the Koi Boys, serenading them and their guests.

Kristie and Clint injected so much fun and hilarity into their celebration by opting for a bouncing 90’s Megamix for their first dance, and with a quick outfit change, they bopped, twirled and crumped their guests onto the dancefloor, which set the tone for a fabulous evening of dancing and merry-making.

Kristie and Clint’s favourite moments of the day included their beautiful ceremony, that was filled with romance, spirituality, love and laughter. The celebrant engaged their guests with stories of the couple and balanced this light-hearted aspect with deep meaning and purpose, leaving guests giggling or wiping happy tears from their eyes. As Kristie and Clint signed the registry, Clint surprised Kristie with a Trio to serenade them, reliving a very special moment they shared travelling in NYC, where they came upon a trio of buskers in a subway station who sounded so beautiful – time slowed and Kristie and Clint were entranced. It was really special to relive this precious memory together on their wedding day and the beautiful songs allowed them time to soak in the ceremony space, their guests, the beautiful surrounds and each other before being introduced as Husband and Wife. Another amazing moment came from Kristie surprising Clint with a helicopter ride – amongst all the merriment of the afternoon, it allowed them to slip away, take in the amazing celebration they had created from new heights, creating a wonderful memory for them to share.

From Kristie + Clint: First and foremost, get yourself a wedding planner!! And not just any planner, but a quality and passionate professional with experience in real weddings, not just styled shoots. There is nothing quite like letting a professional mastermind take the stress and pressure off yourself. We were so time poor, so we had a couple of meetings with Ngaire and told her all of our dreams and she just made it happen. She just got us and we trusted her entirely with our plans. She choose quality vendors that aligned with our vision. We booked vendors who were referred to us so we knew they would do a job, and deliver quality services and products. By investing in professionals, we were able to entrust our wedding creatives with the tasks they were hired to do, and then simply relax and enjoy each moment of the planning journey and the day as well.
