GEORGIA + CASEY :: SIMPLE RELAXED WEDDING AT BABALOU, KINGSCLIFF
Georgia and Casey’s love-filled Babalou wedding was simple, relaxed and packed with heartfelt moments.
Designed around a classic colour palette of earthy timbers and plenty of fresh greenery, these guys celebrated their wedding with an intimate ceremony at Lovers Rock (one of our favourite spots to say I do here on the Tweed Coast!) followed by a dreamy beachfront dinner overlooking the ocean.
With a clear idea of their vision in mind, Georgia and Casey relied on Pinterest and Instagram to find wedding styling inspo and rounded up an epic team of local suppliers to make the magic happen. Captured beautifully by Nathan Lapham, keep scrolling to see more from this relaxed Kingscliff wedding as Georgia and Casey talk us through their perfect day!
ABOUT THE DAY //
Our wedding was literally the perfect day. Everyone says it will be the best day of your life and it was nothing short of that. From the hair and makeup, to the ceremony and finally the reception, I wouldn’t change a thing!
ABOUT THE STYLING //
We had a pretty relaxed style. Simple with statements from the greenery and timber. I have always had an idea of what I wanted my wedding to look like, so Pinterest and Instagram were the main places I looked to bring the ideas to life.
CEREMONY SONG //
In Case You Didn’t Know by Boyce Avenue. When I first heard this song all I could see was me walking down the aisle. I got goosebumps and tears, that’s when I knew it was the one!
FIRST DANCE SONG //
Tenerife Sea by Ed Sheeran. My husband stumbled across this song after we had already chosen a Michael Bolton classic but this one just felt so right and we both loved it.
DIY PROJECTS //
I did some simple DIY for our special day. I made a few candle jars, decorating old coffee jars with twine. I made our food and drink menus as well as the seating chart and table numbers. I also hand wrote each of the name cards and tied them onto napkins with twine.
FAVOURITE MOMENT //
I have two favourite memories from the day. One being how emotional Casey got during his vows, I wasn’t expecting it but it was so beautiful. The second was my father’s speech. It was honestly the best speech I’ve ever heard, it made me so proud.
NUMBER ONE TIP //
Don’t stress or overdo it. Get an idea of what you like and roll with it. Don’t get too caught up in getting every detail perfect because the friends and family make the day, not the table layout.
