EMMA + DAVID :: ROMANTIC DINNER PARTY AT OSTERIA

Emma and David’s romantic Osteria wedding is pretty much the dinner party of our dreams. From their lush garden ceremony (featuring the most incredible pink babies breath arbour!) to their magic sunset portraits and intimate indoor reception, we’re obsessed with every detail from this Tweed Coast celebration.

These guys were blessed with clear skies and warm sunshine on a perfect Autumn day, with a bunch of talented TCW suppliers including Sunshine and Confetti, Florals and Co and Married by Tash on board. Packed with beautiful details including dreamy ceiling installations, textural tablescapes, amazing food and live music, we’re not surprised to hear Emma and David say their day exceeded all expectations from start to finish.

ABOUT THE DAY //

We were married on the 11th of May at Osteria in a beautiful garden ceremony with the sun shining, not a cloud in the sky, and lots of happy tears! With the help of our amazing suppliers, the day far exceeded our wildest expectations. I remember walking into the reception for a sneak peek before heading off for photos and saying “is this real life, is this really OUR wedding?!”. That sums up how I felt the entire day… it was truly a perfect day, no cliché at all!

The ceremony was amazing thanks to Married by Tash – really personal, including a rock/paper/scissors match to settle who went first for vows. The Gold Coast String Quartet provided the most amazing ceremony and cocktail hour music. The reception was full of laughs, loads of dance floor moments and amazing food topped off with a cake by the wonderful Two Little Bakers. Figtree Pictures captured the day perfectly with the perfect sentiment to provide lifelong memories. We’d love to do it all again and wouldn’t change a single thing.

ABOUT THE STYLE //

I think the overall theme of our wedding was romantic. Lots of beautiful flowers from Florals and Co, beautiful lighting by Byron audio and perfect styling by Sunshine and Confetti made the dream a reality.

CEREMONY SONGS //

Beatles – Here comes the sun

Dave and I have quite different music tastes but we both love the Beatles. This was a natural selection for us and sounded amazing done by the Gold Coast String Quartet!

FIRST DANCE SONG //

We decided to mix things up for our first dance. We both don’t take things too seriously and aren’t really ones for having all eyes on us, particularly since neither of us are dancers. We started out with a Keith Urban version of Bee Gees – To love somebody and about one minute into the dance we asked the DJ to drop the beat to RuPaul – Sissy that Walk (Emma= RuPaul fan ++)

DIY PROJECTS //

To be honest… I’m not a DIYer. That’s why I had the amazing Lauren from Sunshine and Confetti to handle everything.

I found a great company through Etsy – Little Black Kat Creative who made the most amazing guest poster featuring our little cat Stirling. Definitely recommend checking her Instagram out for something a little different.

FAVOURITE MOMENTS //

Sharing our wedding vows – which we both wrote and had no idea about each others words. Realising how similar they were including our sense of humour made for a perfect ceremony. We were both so excited and so so happy!

NUMBER ONE TIP //
