The day was adorned with pink hues and filled with personal touches that made the celebration uniquely theirs. Crystal wowed guests with a stunning dress change, adding an extra touch of elegance to the occasion. The lush garden setting of Osteria, combined with Ivy and Bleu’s expert planning, made their wedding a truly magical experience captured beautifully by Daniel Chafer Photography.

We are lucky enough to have some fantastic tips from Crystal, and how she and Andy managed to seamlessly pull of a wedding filled with detail…. We’ll give you a hint…. It Involves using a super star filled team of Tweed Coast Weddings suppliers!

ABOUT THE DAY //

Andy and I got married on the 9th of March 2024 in front of 70 of our friends & family. We had a dream lineup of vendors thanks to the Tweed Coast Wedding Trail and wedding planning services of Emmagen and the team at Ivy & Bleu Events

We can’t get over how amazing our day was, if we could do it all over again we would.

ABOUT THE STYLE //

My favourite colour is pink and so we instantly knew we had to incorporate it into our wedding style. Andy was very involved in the planning and he was insistent that we’d have a hanging installation which really carried our colours! We honestly left the styling up to the Ivy and Bleu team and had total trust that they’d bring our vision to life, which they did. I was worried about using flowers because they just get thrown out after the event however we worked with Ivy & Bleu to have them attend towards the end of the reception and bind the flowers so our guests could take them home. It was a hit with our guests.

CEREMONY SONG //

Both Andy and I had songs we walked down the aisle to. Mine was Here comes the Sun by the Beatles. Andy had One Man Band by Old Dominion. We were lucky enough to have Michael Vos Music who sung both of these songs for us. Both of these songs had special meaning to us.

FIRST DANCE SONG //

We initially struggled to agree on a first dance song so we both wrote our top 3 on paper and shared them with each other. we both love country music and decided with Tennessee Whiskey by Chris Stapleton.

DIY PROJECTS

My niece created hankies which were given out at the ceremony. They looked amazing and were very on theme!

FAVOURITE MOMENT //

Our favourite moment would have to be viewing our reception space for the first time together. We purposely avoided seeing it until we could both view it together. I cried when we viewed it, at how amazing the Ivy and Bleu team took our vision and turned it into a reality.

NUMBER ONE TIP //

Invest in an on the day coordinator. Andy and I got to simply enjoy our day and not have to worry about things that needed doing or questions that needing answering. We also recommend using the vendors you find on Tweed Coast Weddings. Nearly all our vendors are listed and we had a dream team!!

FINAL WORDS OF ADVICE //

We found the Tweed Wedding Trail so important! We actually met our Celebrant, Videographer, Photographer, and Entertainment all on that one day and booked them from within weeks for attending the trail. It made it so much easier being able to meet them on the day and learn about their business. We never would have considered the gelato cart from Wheel and Spoon if we hadn’t tasted it at the Tweed Wedding Trail. (Truely amazing gelato!)
