“Dane proposed over in Canada, so upon our return on “Cloud 9” we began searching for venues. We started looking locally but nothing jumped out, so we started to look outside the local Sunshine Coast.

A couple of adventurers ourselves, we thought what better way to reflect our personalities than have a wedding out of town, where everyone could make a weekend of the event. We searched through every venue (and private property) we could find in the hinterland looking for “the one.” We stumbled across Osteria, and decided to take a visit on the way to the Byron Wedding Fair. We loved Kingscliff and the Casuarina region, so it was exciting to think of the possibilities to find a venue there. Once we arrived and met with the owner, it was decided. The venue had the bit of magic that we were looking for.

The venue reflected what we wanted in so many ways, a little industrial (like our home), a green garden (like the hinterland we wanted), plenty of amazing photo opportunities within 5 mins and amazing food and drink. It was decided that weekend that this was the place for us.

It was so helpful to have so many sources on one website (casuarina weddings), especially for those who are planning a wedding from out of town! Saves so much research and time planning!

The #blewittwedding was the most incredible day! Despite 3 months rain falling on our special day, we made the most of what we were given and it made for a funny story and amazing photos! The rain just added to the mood of the venue, and once the place was lit up, it honestly was like a fairytale.

Doing some styling (tables etc) ourselves, we felt a bit of pressure, as we were so unsure of whether it would come together like our vision! It felt really rewarding to see it all come together and light up on the day.

The day would not have been the same without some amazing vendors! Casuarina really does have so many options.

The staff at Osteria made it a breeze, so organised and professional. They were so reassuring and calmed us when we had to move the ceremony due to weather. The photographer was not only the most amazing lady who put in 200% for us (standing in the rain etc), she captured the day so beautifully so we can cherish and relive those moments forever. The lighting, flowers, cake, candles, video – we honestly felt like we have the “A Team” on our side!

We couldnt thank everyone enough for creating the most epic day, with good food, plenty of drinks and unforgettable memories!
