Gabrielle + Nicholas :: Summergrove Wedding

Summergrove Estate is a hidden gem in the Tweed Hinterland & such a stunning location. The staff at Summergrove Estate and Main Event Weddings did a fantastic job to have our elegant and timeless style come to fruition.  I drew inspiration primarily from the venue itself. I was captivated by the lush green surrounding of the Tweed Hinterland and my colour palette complimented this. Soft grey linen textures, green & white florals offset by natural mahogany timbers & burgundy highlights created a warm wintery atmosphere. An abundance of non-symmetrical, white and green florals & emerald greenery chosen to create a soft relaxed romantic style.

Additional furniture was hired to style the outside area to create a luxe setting for the cocktail hour, overlooking the picturesque views of Summergrove Estate.

“Whilst residing in central QLD both working in the mining industry, we chose to be wed in Carool NSW.  This meant that throughout the duration of the planning process communication with vendors was completed over numerous emails. As an organised bride who thoroughly enjoyed planning wedding, I sourced and booked all major vendors. Given our locality, I engaged the services of Main Event Weddings to complete our styling and on-the day-co-ordination. Whilst I originally hoped to complete a DIY wedding, I encourage any bride to have at least-on the day assistance. On the day styling meant that I was able to relax the morning of my wedding without having to factor in time management for styling or vendor co-ordination. Your wedding will be over in a flash so enjoy and cherish every moment without any unwarranted stress.

Nicholas is of Italian decent, so we opted for an anti-pasto & long tables to recreate a “ traditional family gathering” style atmosphere which highlighted the importance of solidarity that is paramount to that culture.

The banquet style seating created a warm, luxurious wintery setting within space. Warm/deep dark tonnes were used to contrast against whiteness of space.

We were so truly blessed to have so many special individuals in our life who made the effort to travel as far as the UK/Singapore to be present

The speeches were nothing short of witty, food delicious, the atmosphere was amazing. Every time we looked around the alcohol and music was flowing and all guests seemed to be having a joyous time, this made us both truly content. I will never forget seeing friends and family from both sides join in a circle to sing the iconic “Bohemian Rhapsody”.

Every aspect of our wedding day was simply flawless. They say it is one of the happiest days of your life and they are not mistaken. Words can not truly describe the love and happiness we felt, so our photographs and video will be a lifelong memento to share in the memories.
