Angie + Jack : Garden Party Plantation House Wedding

The outdoor ceremony location at Fins at Plantation House most certainly has one of the best views of any wedding venue. We had a chat with lovely bride Angie, about the breathtaking backdrop, lush greenery and garden party vibes of her wedding day.

“The most beautiful day! We had a relaxed short & loving ceremony with longer self written vows & a shorter celebrant speech. Our celebrant did a great job at making the ceremony feel informal with a few giggles here and there but overall just able to feel the emotions of the day!”

“The view at Plantation House is such an incredible backdrop for the ceremony & the weather ended up being perfect also.”

Angie and Jack decided to go for more of a white & green palate for their wedding styling. “Our tables & extra decor was kept simple and we still had plenty of seating for when people needed to sit down. We wanted the wedding to be relaxed, informal with more of a garden party sort of vibe. Trying to keep things simple but beautiful.”

“We had some pictures taken which is great as there are so many good photos ops on the property and we got back to the party asap!”

Fins at Plantation House pride themselves on their culinary delights and they did not disappoint with the non-traditional menu for Angie and Jack.

“We had a stand up food station reception, the food was incredible consisting of raw fish & seafood bar, paella, dumplings & a vegetarian bar. Angie’s brother is a guitarist in a band & they all came up & played our first dance & a few covers but everyone was having such a fun time that they ended up doing a full set of there own stuff too. It was just so much fun with all of our family & friends have a great party!”

Angie’s number one tip for other brides on their wedding day, “try to enjoy every moment as it just goes way too fast! Don’t get caught up on the little things & at some point take a step back & look at everyone having the best time as you put so much time & thought into the day.”
