Amy + Alex : Intimate Elegance at Osteria

On a cloudy March morning on the Tweed Coast, Amy & Alex prepared to say “I do” in beautiful Casuarina.

“The day was an absolute dream! It was an intimate affair with only 50 of our closest family and friends, which was perfect, as we got to spend so much quality time with them all.” Amy speaking about her magical Osteria wedding.

“The skies cleared just in time for our late afternoon garden ceremony, which was followed by cocktails, canapes and then dinner and dancing. Oh the dancing! It did not stop, which was just what we wanted. One big party and celebration of our love and commitment”

In reflection of the entire day, Amy said “It truly was, the most magical day!”

We asked Amy for one piece of advice she would give to other couples on their wedding day, “live in the moment, and make sure to be 100% part of your own special day. It is for no one else but you and your partner. Take a deep breath, and soak in all of the beautiful moments, people and happiness.”

Amy & Alex were keen not to over complicate the wedding planning process, keeping everything pretty relaxed with a clear idea of what they are after and quick decisions.

“My heart was set on a rustic, simple, yet elegant day. The setting at Osteria really doesn’t need much anyway, with the beautiful garden and the fairy lights. I did not want to take away from any of this, so kept things relatively simple with greenery and white flowers.”
